Central Pacific Bank announced the following promotions:
Kyle K. Sakamoto has been promoted to Senior Vice President and Commercial Banking Senior Manager from Vice President. Sakamoto is responsible for managing the bank's commercial banking operations on Maui, Kauai and the Big Island, as well as managing a commercial loan portfolio.
Sakamoto has been with CPB for the last nine years and has 17 years of commercial banking experience. Last year, Pacific Business News named Sakamoto one of its Forty Under 40.
Active in the community, Sakamoto is a board member of the Maui Adult Day Care Centers and A Keiki's Dream. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Hawaii and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. Sakamoto resides on Maui.
Thuy Nguyen-Martines has been promoted to Vice President and Senior Private Banking Manager from Vice President and Senior Private Banking Officer. In managing the bank’s private banking department, Nguyen-Martines oversees personnel and client services, which include trust, credit, investment and insurance services. She also manages a portfolio of high-net worth clients.
Nguyen-Martines has been with CPB for the last seven years and has 14 years of experience in private banking.
She currently serves on the boards of March of Dimes - Hawaii Chapter and Soroptimist International of Honolulu. She was also the chairperson of the event management committee for the YWCA LeaderLuncheon 2010.
A graduate of Linfield College in Oregon with a bachelor’s degree in international business, Nguyen-Martines lives in Hawaii Kai.
