Daneil Chinen has been hired as Vice President and Compliance Officer for Central Pacific HomeLoans (CPHL), a subsidiary of Central Pacific Bank. In her new position, Chinen is responsible for ensuring the proper and effective implementation of Central Pacific HomeLoans’ compliance, quality control and appraisal ordering processes.
“Daneil brings to Central Pacific HomeLoans more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage and home loan industry,” said Blenn Fujimoto, President of Central Pacific HomeLoans and Vice Chairman of Central Pacific Bank. “With that experience, she brings to CPHL a deep understanding of the local home loan market and valuable insight into our primary customer base.”
Prior to joining Central Pacific HomeLoans, Chinen was First Vice President – Mortgage Policy and Administration for American Savings Bank, where she oversaw the bank’s Secondary Market and Loan Processing Departments, developed policy and procedures, ensured credit quality investments of residential loans, established and maintained investor relationships, coordinated training and product development, and ensured compliance with regulatory rules.
Chinen also held numerous other underwriting and mortgage loan processing positions with mortgage banking companies, including New America Financial, Mellon Mortgage Company and Honolulu Mortgage Company. She is a member of the Hawaii Financial Regulatory Compliance Association, American Bankers Association and member of the Association of Certified Anti-money Laundering Specialists (CAM certified).
She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii and resides in Kailua, Oahu.
