Central Pacific Plaza has been recognized as one of only eight local businesses and buildings that qualified as a "Green Business" by the State of Hawaii. Central Pacific Plaza is a Class “A” office building located in downtown Honolulu on the corner of King and Alakea streets, and includes approximately 233,000 square feet of office and retail space. It is owned by Central Pacific Bank, who is also its principal tenant, and managed by Colliers Monroe Friedlander.
The recognition is part of The Green Business Program, a partnership between the state departments of Health and Business, Economic Development, and Tourism; and the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii. The program assists and recognizes businesses that operate in an environmentally responsible way.

“Since 2003, Central Pacific Plaza has saved more than 5.5 million kilowatts of electricity and reduced its energy consumption by 25 percent” said Brennan C. Kalani Maika,
Senior Property Manager for Colliers Monroe Friedlander. “Central Pacific Plaza uses about 35 percent less energy than the average commercial building, while still providing quality service and comfort to its occupants.”
That energy saving performance earned Central Pacific Plaza the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s prestigious Energy Star award for protecting the environment through superior energy performance in 2010. In fact, Central Pacific Plaza is the only building in the state of Hawaii to earn the Energy Star for seven consecutive years.
As part of its efforts to conserve energy and protect the environment, Central Pacific Plaza:
