Central Pacific Bank (CPB) has appointed Kenneth Newman to Senior Vice President, Information Security. In his position, Newman oversees the bank’s information security program and the protection of its information assets.
Newman has been with Central Pacific Bank since 2009, having served as Vice President & Information Security Manager. Prior to joining the Bank, Newman served as First Vice President & Online Risk Manager at Washington Mutual, Director and Information Risk Manager at Deutsche Bank, as well as for other Hawaii financial institutions.
Newman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering & Applied Science from Columbia University, a Master of Science in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University, and a number of security and risk certifications. He is active in the local chapters of several industry groups, as well as with the FBI’s Infragard program.
